1 yd. sky blue background fabric for BLOCK 1 & 2

¼ yd. lime green background fabric for SQUARE BLOCKS

¼ yd. lime green background fabric for HEART BLOCKS

3/8 yd. pink background fabric for BIRDS 1 & 2, and extra rectangles

3/8 yd. dark orange background fabric for BIRDS 3 & 4

½ yd. light orange background fabric for CREATE BAR & LIVE LAUGH LOVE BAR

¼ yd. turquoise background fabric for SIDE FLOWER BLOCKS

¼ yd. lavender background fabric for MIDDLE FLOWER BLOCKS

½ yd. red sashing fabric around BLOCK 1 & 2

1/3 yd. green sashing fabric around the 5 FLOWER BARS

¾ yd. black border fabric (2 yards is you do not want to piece)

3 yds. Light Weight paper backed fusible web for appliqué (Pellon 805 or Wonder Under)

4 yds. of Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex Interfacing for backing all backgrounds of embroidery blocks

BEFORE CLASS

YOU NEED TO STARCH, STARCH, AND STARCH ALL OF YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CUTTING ANY PIECES OUT. THIS INCLUDES YOU APPLIQUE PIECES, TOO.

After eah piece of fabric has been starched, you will cut the following and label each piece

PRE- CLASS CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

5 FLOWER BARS

For each of the 3 5 Flower bar pieces, cut your background (turquoise) fabric 13’ x 36”. Also cut 3 pieces of Shape Flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

BLOCK 1 & 2

There are 2 BLOCK 1 and 1 BLOCK 2. For each of the blocks, cut 15” squares of (sky blue) fabric. Also cut 3 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

BIRDS 1 & 2

For each of these BIRDS 1 & 2, cut your background (pink) fabric 11” square. Also cut 2 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

BIRDS 3 & 4

For each of the BIRDS 3 & 4, cut your background (dark orange) fabric 11” square. Also cut 3 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

CREATE

Cut 1- 9” x 36” strip (light orange) fabric. Also cut a piece of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

LIVE LAUGH LOVE

Cut 1- 6” x 36” strip (light orange) fabric. Also cut a piece of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

FILLER BLOCKS 1 & 2

BLOCK 1

Cut a piece of fabric (pink) 4-1/2” x 16-1/2 strip. Also cut a piece of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

BLOCK 2

Cut a piece of fabric (pink) 4-1/2” x 16-1/2 strip. Also cut a piece of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

THREE FLOWER BAR

For the MIDDLE FLOWER BLOCKS

Cut 2 pieces 9” x 11” (lavender) strips. Also cut 2 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

For the SIDE FLOWER BLOCKS

Cut 4 pieces 8” x 11” (turquoise) strips. Also cut 4 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

HEART BLOCKS

Cut 4 pieces 6” square (lime green). Also cut 4 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.

SQUARE BLOCKS

Cut 4 pieces 6” square (line green) Also cut 4 pieces of Shape flex and fuse to the backside of the fabric.
