Sewing machine in good working order
Basic sewing supplies
Rotary Cutter and mat
6-1/2" rule
50 Shades of Thread Pattern
Thread for piecing
Thread for decorative stitches (50), you can use as few or as many as 50 different shades of threads
80/12 needles
20 Foot (Open Toe) or 20C or 20D foot
Tear away stabilizer
Fabric Requirements
8 different 1/3 yards of fabrics
From 2 of the 1/3 yds pieces do the following:
For each piece of fabric, pick 8 different threads that will contrast with the fabric
From 6 of the 1/3 yd pieces do the following:
For each piece of fabric, pick 2 different threads that will contrast with each fabric
Border & Binding 1-1/4 yards
Backing 2-2/3 yards
Batting 48" x 66"
Starch each 1/3 yard piece before cutting. Remember when starching your fabric, spray and let dry before pressing your fabric.
We will cut the pieces in class.
